No idea. Can't remember if someone offered to do it or not.

Can it just be appointed to the volunteer(s), or is it something that requires a vote/consensus?
Any chance we could get a 2017 signup started in the next week or two?

I believe the MILB draft is January 21 so we should have a check in before then

I remember us discussing a possibility of a few teams committing as co-commish. I know blacksburg and i believe the redsox and/or blue jays mentioned they would co-commish. It would be amazing if someone wanted to take the role entirely. Maybe we should just ask if anyone is interested in becoming the commish and/or a co-commish here and see who we can find.
So if your interested in being a commissioner in any sort of way speak up fellas

Unfortunately I co-commish a few similar leagues already and just don't have the time to do another.

I can co -commish but I don't have the time to keep up with it all so if 1 or 2 other owners want to do it as well or if one other owner wants to do it is good too

I talked to Black Sox awhile ago and said that I was interested in being a co-commish to keep the league going. I don't have to time to do everything either but wouldn't mind updating proboards, looking up minor league player limits...etc. It sounds like there are at least a few of us who are interested in making the league work.

I believe the league runs pretty much by itself as long as we keep up with pro boards and stay with the rules that are in place already . if we do have a issue we can just take a league vote at that time and then change it for the following season. If Louisville River bats (Brad) I will first, Commissioner and Chicago black sox ( chuy) I still with us I'm sure they can help us out

Collectively we will all keep each other honest so it's mainly a "figure head / keeping it moving" type role from the sound of it.
I'll happily support whoever wishes to take it on.

I support whoever takes it on, alone or with others, and if you need help stepping in for a week or with a project, hit me up. Thanks guys.

Now we just need Black Sox to log in and give permissions to other people so that we can upload rosters from Yahoo and get ready for the draft.

it looks like borgman420 SF Giants, Wolfy P. Roses,Riverbats & Jesus (Chicago Black Sox) all have Administrator so they can upload rosters from Yahoo and get ready for the draft

that would be great, I think it would be beneficial for someone with administrator privileges in the yahoo league to send an email out to everyone reminding them to check in, so we can be sure who is in for this year.

Tell me what I need to do; I've never really used my priviledge, just had them 'in case of'. I don't believe it transfers over to the yahoo site, it's just for proboards. Additionally, yahoo took down our league page a day or two or three ago, so I don't have access to any of that info or rosters on that site anymore.

Giants that was awesome, thanks for doing that.
Does anyone have an old email with all the teams email addresses in it? I know blacksox sent a few out before but I cant find any. I think all we need to do now is email the league and see who is in since the draft is scheduled for next week and we have less than half of the league checked in so far. Also there are 5 teams that havent logged into the proboards site since the past season (bats, cubs, Canadians, scrappers, and brewers), and we should figure that out before we start the draft IMO.

The Team Info thread on here seems to list all email addresses.

Hi fellas, I'm glad people are able to take on the responsibilities. I can grant the appropriate admin privileges on yahoo but Bats, the original commissioner, is the only one that can change permission here on proboards

I'd hope that we push the draft back before autodrafting 5-10 teams. Not ideal situation either way, but the season is still far away.

We can do that I think , As of now I feel we should go with your call , because you are the only one that can update pro boards

I'd really like to avoid becoming the defacto decision maker. Sorry, I just often have views that counter to the majority of the league and I don't want the drama, nor do I need more on my plate right now. I'll help where it's needed, but otherwise I'd just as soon leave it to those that wanted the responsibility. I trust those owners more than myself to do an exceptional job leading the way.

I have no problem working with other owners or if need be solo but we don't have commissioner responsibilities

I can work on setting up a draft order page, but I'm uncertain how we've done it in the past, and I couldnt quite decipher it from last year because there were lots of trades to move around the draft. Is it based directly on end of regular season standings, or does it incorporate the playoff standings of the final 8 teams, or just the top 3 finishers. Or some other set up. Thanks.

I believe the champ gets to pick first! haha jk. It should be the final standings and it does incorporate the playoff standings (I remember this is how it was done before from my positions in previous years)

Was looking around didn't see anything either maybe we should just go with regular season final standings There is only a couple of us that have been active so if we agree on that we can get it going

I thought that we did use playoffs for the draft order? Makes sense that whoever picks last won the whole thing, right?

K thanks, I'll get on it today. I was a little unsure because the playoff seeding makes things a little skewed. If nothing else, it'll give teams a chance to see where draft picks are that they're potentially trading for.
