I think we should move the playoffs to a week earlier. Currently the playoffs are on Week 23, 24 and 25 (8 teams) . I purpose we move it to Week 22, 23 and 24 (8 teams).

most of my players were limping down the stretch last season. and by the final week of our season, most of my starters were being rested by their mlb clubs. tough break when you're fighting for a playoff win. so I'd agree with moving up the playoffs a week.
I wasn't pleased with the waiver wire process last season for players over their minor league limits once they get recalled. I think it's fair to be able to send down a player that's playing in the minors when he's over his mlb limits. but I don't like that once they're up with the big club, I only have 24 hours or however long to claim them. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd prefer to go back to a week or 72 hours to recall the players. the best example I can think of is with Randall Delgado, but I know there were several others throughout this past year. there's a better way to obtain talent than to swindle it off of other clubs over a roster status technicality, is how I feel about it. maybe swindle isn't the right way to describe it, but it sounded like we'd revisit this in the offseason, so now is a good time.

I agree with Eric. I am switching positions with the company I work for. I will be on duty from 2:30 Friday afternoon until 8:00 Monday morning with no internet access.

We can do away with MiLB AB/IP limits altogether and have player options instead.
We'd have (2 or 3) player options per player. You can then send whatever player you want down to the MiLB roster at anytime as long as that player still has options and as long as you have roster space on the 20 man MiLB roster.
But at the end of the season we would enforce the AB/IP limits for the MiLB rosters so that Managers don't try to keep more players than the allowed 25 major leaguers.

The player option system seems interesting, however that will require a ton of work to keep up with, since you (Black Sox) has seeemed to take over the commish role I feel that would mostly fall on you. Just thought I would throw that out there

Just thought I would throw that out how about player options per player whatever it is 2 or 3 but as the Manager of your team if you use up your options an a player you lose him and a pick milb or mlb

options seem like a crazy amount of work, but maybe the ab/ip limits are just as much work. I personally prefer the MILB cutoffs for innings and at bats over options. however, i support whatever decision is made, so long as we don't change things up only to have to go back to what we have now in a couple months or even the following season.
i had a few paragraphs written with some good points and some bad points, but who the hell wants to waste time reading opinion when you should be using that time to send a trade offer.
so do it! these teams have been checking in daily for your offer: cards, black sox, o&b sox, cyclones, scrappers, and giants. sorry if i missed your team.
Right now. go send someone an offer or inquiry. thanks. happy hot stove.

It would still require some up keep but I think it would be less work than the IP/AB limits. The options wouldn't require me to look up each players IP/AB limits. The new way would also allow some leeway to those who can't check their rosters daily. The way I see the options working is by starting an OPTIONS thread here in proboards. This would keep a list of all teams and players that have used options. When a team decides to send Player A down to the minor leagues from their MLB roster. The Manager would post under the thread that Player A is being sent down. One of the league commish would then modify the top post stating that Player A has used one option. Only players that have used options would be on the list. After the season ends options are reset and we would enforce the AB/IP limits at that time. The player option system seems interesting, however that will require a ton of work to keep up with, since you (Black Sox) has seemed to take over the commish role I feel that would mostly fall on you. Just thought I would throw that out there

if we're moving up the end of the season, i'd like to also move up the trade deadline during the regular season. probably goes without saying, but i thought i'd say it anyways, and leave it for discussion. thanks. happy holidays.

As long as you think it would be reasonable to manage, I like the player options as opposed to the AB/IP limits.

So im wondering who would have options, and how long it would last. For instance, could I send a longtime vet down to minors and how long could he be left there? I like the idea, but there might have to be some rules hashed out along with.

I think we should also get together fairly soon and make a decision on things like these, as the outcome could determine whether or not I, as well as others would like to make trades or not.

Not available players Maybe we can look in to adding a spot or two of NA for a player that gets sent up and down in the course of the season
Tampa. Yankees
