Here's an idea I implemented into another one of my leagues and I figured I'd bring this idea up just to see if anyone likes it.
So the idea is that teams like to shuffle minor leaguers up and down, and it's usually the same 2 or 3 players. So how the minor league shuffle works is that you set a list of players you plan on calling up and sending down (they all have to be eligible for demotion). Then you set aside a certain number of player spots for minor league shuffle players.
For instance, if I call up Player A and Player B alternating, I can designate 1 spot as a minor league spot, and it can only be occupied by either Player A or Player B. If I call up or demote both, then I'd post about a change in my shuffle spots, otherwise, I can demote or promote Player A and B as often as I like as long as I keep the players and spots taken the same.
Works with as many players as you want with as many roster spots as you want, only need to enforce that the number of minor league players and shuffle spots are the same as what's designated by the manager..
So instead of posting who's up and who's down every move, you designate the player for shuffling and someone can check the teams occasionally to see if the number of shuffle players and shuffle spots is the same. It really helped cut down on posts about call ups and demotions as well as updating teams and rosters and might be something that'd make the league easier to run.

Can't we just not be required to post when we call up or send down a player that's still under the 150/30 limit? I never saw the point to be honest...as long as the player is eligible to be on the minors roster, he should be able to be on both rosters. Last year I added and dropped one of these guys many times and didn't post about it, because I knew that he would always be on my minors roster, and therefore protected, as long as he was under the limits. It didn't give me any kind of advantage by doing this, because all it was doing was taking up an extra spot on my minors roster that I could have used on someone else. The only time I needed to post about it was if I needed to free up a spot on my minors roster. Once that player went over the limits, I had no choice but to call him up for good or drop him.
But at least this way, I didn't have to post, the mods didn't have to constantly adjust my minors roster, and anyone could still check my minors roster for any players over the limits.

If you look through the adds and drops, there's a ton of the same player being shuffled up and down. This is just a solution to make it easier to manage without any questions being asked about rosters, especially since there were issues about people adding and dropping, but not adjusting the yahoo rosters as well.

They can assume that, but if the player is still on my minor league roster (assuming he's eligible to be there) then they can't add him. Either the player is on my major league roster or on my minors roster. Either way, he's protected. If the player is not on my minors roster when I drop him from the majors, that is when I would make a post about it and say "send to minors". Everyone should be checking minor league rosters any time they go to add a FA. As long as people are doing this there won't be any confusion.

I agree with Brewers, as it's a manager responsibility to make sure he doesn't try to pick up a protected player.
