So here are the options. Brad confirmed with me in October that the max roster size is set at 15 for this season. Therefore, in order to use all your draft picks in tomorrow night's draft, you will need to drop players from your current MiLB roster to make room.
Option 1: Keep the roster size as it currently is, at 15 players
Option 2: Because there has been confusion, we can bump up the roster size to 17. In order to get back on track of an increase of 5 players per year, next season we will only draft 3 players and reach a cap of 20
Option 3: Same as above but 18 instead of 17 for this year. 2 players instead of 3 for next year.
Option 4: Because Brad has been MIA for the past couple months it is only fair that we also add in 20 players as an option. This will clear up any issues that people have had with stockpiling draft picks under the impression that we would be expanding to 20. Because Brad was unavailable to confirm the rules of this year's draft, I feel that a league vote is fair. Whatever the outcome, the votes will be locked an hour before the draft tomorrow night. Once the vote is locked, the decision is final.
Thanks for your cooperation! It's been a little hectic lately without Brad, but things are starting to fit together. Good luck to everyone!
Also, in my opinion, we should cap the minor league roster at 20 players after next season and have that as the permanent roster size for every season following. We can bring this issue up to Brad next offseason.
Just a reminder: the MiLB draft will begin tomorrow night at 6:00PM EST

If someone can find a post that Brad posted stating the rules for this year's draft (in terms of roster size) then this poll will be removed and the rosters will remain capped at 15. If you find it, please post it in this discussion.
Thanks, Dave

I not sure where or if i have posted about it being 15 but I'm not against changing things . Main reason for wanting 15 is to keep the pool smaller and part of owning a team in a league like this is full of tough decisions

Yes, the draft will still start tonight. Everyone replied to the roll call so it's safe to assume everyone will be able to take part in the draft

So what are we doing for the rosters post-draft? Teams like Portland or Milwaukee won't have 20 players, do they get to pick up "x" number of guys from free agency?

that's what we did last year. after the mlb supplemental draft, there was a specified time that we could add mlbers or minor leaguers to our roster. i added five minor leaguers last year after all the draft rounds; picked up a couple top 100 prospects like story & goodwin, so i wouldn't worry about there being a lack of talent.
